Sympatheque Tyler Un Devoyer

Tyler was the pup that decided he liked it just fine at our house and decided to pick here to stay! He was and still is the shy guy, so he made sure when people came to meet the puppies that he stayed as far away from them as he could so nobody would take him! He wasn’t shy around any of us, and he won our hearts by being a cuddler! Kelly and Derrick had named him Porker Puppy, because he seemed to be the biggest pup, but that name had to go, so he ended up being known as Tyler. His name was picked because he was conceived on the weekend we were getting packed to go camping at a place called Tyler Creek, and it kept the rhythm of names starting with “T”!

Tyler fit in very well with Teak and his dad Traverse. They all got along fine, and Traverse and Teak taught him what he needed to know to fit in here! Tyler has always been playful and has contributed to keeping both Teak and his dad young at heart and active! Tyler out grew Kelly calling him Porker and he became a lean mean Frisbee machine! He watched his dad catch Frisbee’s and tried and tried to do the same! He was very persistent and once he got the hang of catching stuff, he began to live for playing catch with anything he could get us to throw! Now he lives with a Frisbee in his mouth when he is outside, and will chase it continuously until you stop throwing it!

He doesn’t get close to strangers, and he takes a long time to trust and warm up to people, but once he has let you pet him, he won’t leave you alone! He is really a lover once he knows you! He prefers to hold back on walks when people come up to pet Teak and his dad, but wants to be petted himself, and sometimes gets brave and walks up to strangers on his own once he sees them petting Teak and his dad. He seems to have a liking for elderly people, he doesn’t show his shyness when going to visit grandma at the nursing home; he lets the residents and staff there approach and pet him with no fears of them! Then he leaves there and struts along just as proud of himself as he can be! He likes to be next to us regardless of where we are or what we are doing. He pays close attention to what you are doing, and will lay and watch you all the time. He loves to give kisses, and thinks if your hand is not busy he should make it pet him!

Tyler knows his place in the pack, and has always respected his dad and Teak, he waits politely for his turn when getting food, pets, or treats! He is very smart, and works hard to show us how smart he is by trying to do whatever we tell him to do even if he has no idea what we want he goes and attempts to do it!

He loves to go for walks any time of the day or night, he loves to go for car rides and he loves to go camping! He is as big a part of our lives now as Trav and Teak are, and we can not imagine what our house would be like without him!
